Why do the surveys ask the same questions each time?

We are asking the same questions each time we run the survey so that we can measure how the responses change over time. The longer we run the surveys for, and the more people take part, the better the data will be.

If necessary we can then try to put things in place to resolve issues as they appear in the survey responses. For example, as a result of the earlier surveys highlighting issues with the Wyse terminals for people who were hybrid working; we have rolled out replacing these with laptops.

We have also added some new questions into the most recent couple of surveys. For example, this current survey includes more health questions so we can gather some evidence to put in our submission for the Better Health At Work Award.

How are the findings from the workforce survey used?

Now that the workforce surveys have been running for a while we have been able to identify some actions that we needed to take to address issues highlighted in the findings reports.

For example, where the results to the wellbeing questions showed lower scores than we would have liked to see we have developed a wellbeing strategy which is currently being considered by CMT.

We have also introduced other wellbeing support including the Mental Health Hub, and we are currently setting up a network of Health and Wellbeing Advocates to provide support throughout the workforce.
