Hartlepool Borough Council is asking for your views on the Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP). This plan sets out how we can grow, protect and look after trees and green spaces across the town over the next 25 years.
We want Hartlepool to be a greener, healthier place where everyone can enjoy the benefits of trees: cleaner air, cooler streets, more wildlife and nicer places to live, work and visit. The plan also aims to make things fairer by improving Tree Equity, so that all neighbourhoods can benefit, especially the areas that currently have fewer trees.
This consultation is open for 8 weeks, and we want to hear from residents, community groups, young people, businesses, landowners and industry professionals. Your feedback will help us check that the plan is clear, fair and focused on the right priorities and it will help shape how we deliver this work across Hartlepool.
The consultation closes on 4th May 2026.
Please take a few minutes to share your views. Your voice will help us create a greener future for everyone in Hartlepool.
