This survey will help shape an upcoming Autism strategy within Adult Social Care, this survey is aimed at autistic adults and those that care for somebody with autism. The aim is to improve the lives of those with autism within Hartlepool, offering more opportunities and having realistic aims that are both achievable and progressive. This is a short survey, if you would like to be involved further, or you would like to offer more insight into your experiences, please leave your details at the end of the survey.

Our Priorities

These are based on what people have told us is important to them, through a series of focus groups and interviews. They will form the basis of the strategy.

  1. Clear information provided in different formats, catering to preference.
  2. More opportunities to feel a part of their community and socialise.
  3. Support to live a gloriously ordinary life and to achieve my goals.
  4. Health and wellbeing without fear.
  5. Strong foundations for young people preparing for adulthood.
  6. Recognise and Support Informal Carers

Please use this survey in a way that reflects either your experiences as an autistic person or as somebody with the best interests of those around them with autism. This strategy is aimed towards adults, and those younger people transitioning into adulthood. If your person is a young child then please think about what you would like to see in their future.
