How to share your memories
- Start by clicking the blue "Add Your Idea" button
- Give your memory a title in the "add your idea" box
- Tell your story in the "enter a short description" box
- You can upload digital images by clicking the upload image button (
) and choosing the file you want to upload from your computer or phone
Only got paper photos?
If you only have paper photos or other mementoes you can take a clear picture of each one using your smartphone or digital camera and upload them as in step 4 above.
When you have finished telling your story click "add idea" to post it on the site! You will then receive an email confirmation.
You do not need to register with the site (unless you want to of course!) but to prevent spam you will be asked to provide an email address when you submit your memory.
Alternatively you can call into your nearest Community Hub or library to record a digital audio postcard (staff will be on hand to help), leave a written reminiscence or bring in photographs for scanning or items for loan.
Liking, commenting and sharing on other people's memories
You can also like, comment on and share other people's memories. If you like a comment, click on the heart in the bottom right hand corner of the memory. The heart will turn from white to red. Click it again to "un-like" it.
To comment on someone else's memory, click on the "comment" button at the bottom of the memory. Write your comment and click post. If you have not already registered an account on the site you will be asked to provide an email address when you add your comment.
To share a memory on social media, click on the icon of the social media platform you want to share it on and then follow the instructions on the platform.
